Four steps to post your Story
1. Copy the link first
In Kollekt, tap the Share button at the top of Home, Direct Line, or Chat. Then tap Copy link.
The link needs to be on your clipboard because Instagram doesn’t carry it over by itself.
2. Tap Share story
From the same Share Sheet, tap Share story. Instagram opens with your Kollekt card already placed as the Story background.
3. Add the Link sticker
Tap the sticker icon in the Instagram toolbar, choose the Link sticker, and paste the Kollekt link from your clipboard.
On some phones, the link disappears from your clipboard when you switch to Instagram. If that happens, go back to Kollekt, tap Copy link again, then paste.
4. Post the Story
Drag the link sticker where it fits best on the card, then tap Your Story to post.
What to say on the Story
Add a line of text on top of the card so fans know why to tap. Specific is better than generic. “Tap through” is weaker than telling them what they’ll find. A few that work:
- “New track in the Direct Line → tap to hear it first.”
- “Voice note about [thing] on my Kollekt.”
- “Everything I post before anywhere else → tap.”
- “If you want the good stuff first, my space is here.”
- “Behind the scenes from today → on Kollekt.”
The first time you post a Story about Kollekt, give fans a bit more context. What it is, and why you’re inviting them. See Announce Kollekt to your fans for example captions.
Tips
- Post Stories when you have a reason. “Hey, I’m on Kollekt now” is fine once. After that, post when you have something specific to share. A new Direct Line message, a subscriber-only post, a Chat moment.
- Post when your followers are most active. The link only lives for 24 hours, so drop it when the most people will see it.
- Want a different look? Swap in your own image before posting. The link sticker works with any Story background.
